ResMusica is a daily online publication devoted to classical music and dance
Founded in 1999 by Christophe Le Gall, established in France but international in scope through its team which is active across Europe and North America, primarily francophone but providing international readers with translations of its best articles in its English section, ResMusica aims to promote access to musical knowledge with its two-fold dedication to music and the internet.
ResMusica covers news of performances, concerts, festivals and musical institutions with daily reports and articles, interviews and analysis in all aspects of classical music and dance. Reviews on albums, videos and books are also available. In addition ResMusica is interested in musical productions for children, through its section entitled ResBambini.
Each month ResMusica awards five Clef ResMusica to recognize outstanding publications of albums, videos and books. Since 2009, selected recipients of these Clefs ResMusica recipients have been awarded the Clefs d’Or ResMusica, acknowledging outstanding releases of the year.
Also since 2010, ResMusica has been the French representative to the ICMA Jury, the International Classical Music Awards (formerly MIDEM Classical Awards). The ICMA is the only international award dedicated solely to classical music. Its jury is composed of twenty members from the international music press. Each year ICMA holds a ceremony and gala concert.
With more than 24,000 articles freely available, 1,200 reviews published every year, and a team of 50 writers spread across 7 countries, ResMusica is the most active francophone publication on the internet devoted to classical music and dance.
